Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• ASCP certification, preferred.
• CPR certification, preferred for Offsite Lab sections.
• One year of clinical laboratory/medical experience and office experience, preferred.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes accessioning, preparation, and processing of specimens.
• Performs clerical tasks and specimen accessioning per testing protocols.
• Maintains lab operations by equipment maintenance, quality control, and preventive maintenance.
• Performs waived laboratory testing, documents reports, quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates knowledge of laws and regulations related to laboratory operations.
• Documents daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in the work area lists.
