Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a full-time phlebotomist to float between Livingston Ambulatory Clinic Lab and Orange Outpatient Lab (Central Campus). The role includes specimen collection (venipuncture, capillary, sweat chloride), accessioning, and waived testing; shifts are 8 hours Mon-Fri with weekend rotation.

You will perform clerical and patient care support, register patients, ensure proper specimen handling, and maintain quality control and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• 1 year clinical laboratory/medical experience preferred.
• 2 years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes specimen accessioning, preparation, processing, delivery and storage.
• May include phlebotomy and other specimen collection.
• Maintains laboratory operations with equipment maintenance and quality control.
• Performs waived laboratory testing and documents reports.
• Upholds laws and regulations related to lab operations.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
