Job summary

Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley seeks a per diem Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory team. You will collect blood specimens, handle and process samples for testing, and assist with pre-analytic and analytic workflows to support patient care.

Maintain accurate records and ensure safety and privacy in accordance with regulations. CA CPTI license, BLS, and phlebotomy experience in acute care are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required in CA (CPTI)
• BLS certification required
• Experience in phlebotomy in acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens for a variety of Laboratory tests and handle/post-analytic care
• Complete computerized tasks for patient registration and test order entry
• Maintain inventory and documentation of pre-analytic and post-analytic work
• Communicate results to the appropriate staff and route/retransmit as needed
• Perform duties as assigned by the department
