Responsibilities

• Collect STAT, timed and routine venous and capillary blood specimens from inpatients, outpatients and off-site facilities.
• Perform LIS data entry and verify patient/specimen information for testing requests.
• Prepare specimens for testing, store at required temperatures and dispatch as needed.
• Maintain supplies on units and off-site facilities; drive Riverview vehicle or use personal vehicle with valid license.
• Respond to inquiries about test orders, specimen requirements and reporting; assist with patient education.
