Job summary

Maniilaq Association in Kotzebue, AK is seeking a Clinical Informaticist I/II to support the Oracle Health Cerner EHR and empower clinical teams. You will work with providers, nurses, and pharmacists to optimize workflows and improve patient care through effective training and system optimization.

The role requires strong communication, flexibility for non-traditional hours, and proficiency with clinical software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered.
Minimum of 2–5 years of clinical informatics experience with Oracle Health Cerner or other major EHR system.
Strong understanding of clinical workflows in hospital and outpatient settings.
Excellent communication and training skills; ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Proficiency with healthcare IT systems and applications; willingness to work non-traditional hours.
Flexibility to work alternative schedules, including evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

Lead training and coaching efforts to promote effective use of the EHR across clinicians and staff.
Design, update, and manage EHR training materials to align with system enhancements.
Collaborate with the MHS team to support implementation, maintenance, and optimization of EHR applications.
Contribute to the development of new system functionalities that support clinical workflows and best practices.
Provide on-site and remote support for training, troubleshooting, and process improvement; participate in an on-call rotation.
