Job summary

Sheridan-Community-Hospital in Michigan seeks a Lead EHR Implementation & Optimization clinical expert to guide Epic/OCHIN workflows from design to go-live and ongoing improvement.

You will collaborate with nurses, providers, and department leaders to simplify documentation, enhance patient care, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role also covers staff training, go-live support, and adoption with a focus on rural healthcare.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license or ability to obtain one.
• BSN or ADN with commitment to completing BSN within three years.
• Minimum of three years direct patient care in acute/ICU/ER/ambulatory.
• Hands-on EHR experience with workflow redesign/optimization.
• Strong clinical judgment, analytical abilities, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHR implementation and optimization as a clinical expert.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and leaders to redesign workflows.
• Support testing, go-live, and ongoing improvements.
• Develop training resources and guide Super Users through changes.
• Advance patient safety, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive adoption and support rural healthcare and Critical Access needs.
