Job summary

Grand River Health Main Campus in Rifle, CO seeks a Clinical Informatics Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of clinical informatics and optimize the EHR platform. You will coach analysts, configure and test Epic EHR builds, and partner with clinical leaders to translate workflows into effective technology solutions.

You will coordinate end-user training, system changes, and new implementations while ensuring high data integrity and regulatory compliance, with a focus on excellent patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant healthcare informatics experience.
• 5+ years in clinical informatics or healthcare IT with hands-on configuration.
• 1–2 years supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic EHR build and configuration in clinical areas preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration to translate workflows into tech solutions.

What You’ll Do

As the Manager of Clinical Informatics, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of clinical informatics while working alongside the team to support, optimize, and improve GRH’s EHR and clinical applications.

• Lead and support Clinical Informatics Analysts through work assignment, coaching, performance management, and day-to-day team oversight.
• Participate hands-on in EHR and clinical application build, configuration, testing, optimization, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Partner with clinical leaders and end users to analyze workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate operational needs into effective system solutions.
• Coordinate end-user training, system changes, upgrades, and new implementations while maintaining clear documentation and supporting successful adoption.
• Monitor application performance, data integrity, regulatory requirements, service metrics, and project deliverables while collaborating with Digital Information Services and organizational leadership.
• Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a hands-on clinical informatics professional who understands healthcare workflows and can support both the people and technology behind effective patient care.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and directly relevant experience will be considered.
• Five or more years of experience in clinical informatics, EHR support, or healthcare information technology, including hands-on application configuration and end-user support.
• One to two years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic EHR build and configuration in at least one clinical area, such as ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, or ancillary services, preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to translate clinical workflows and operational needs into effective technology solutions.
