Job summary

Grand River Health in Rifle, CO seeks a Clinical Informatics Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of clinical informatics and optimize EHR and clinical applications. You will guide Analysts, oversee builds, and partner with clinicians to translate workflows into effective tech solutions.

The role requires hands-on EHR configuration, training coordination, and a focus on data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent education and directly relevant experience will be considered.
• Five or more years of experience in clinical informatics, EHR support, or healthcare information technology, including hands-on application configuration and end-user support.
• One to two years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic EHR build and configuration in at least one clinical area, such as ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, or ancillary services, preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to translate clinical workflows and operational needs into effective technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Clinical Informatics Analysts through work assignment, coaching, performance management, and day-to-day team oversight.
• Participate hands-on in EHR and clinical application build, configuration, testing, optimization, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Partner with clinical leaders and end users to analyze workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate operational needs into effective system solutions.
• Coordinate end-user training, system changes, upgrades, and new implementations while maintaining clear documentation and supporting successful adoption.
• Monitor application performance, data integrity, regulatory requirements, service metrics, and project deliverables while collaborating with Digital Information Services and organizational leadership.
• Perform a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
