Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Informatics for Analytics & Interfaces, the Clinical Informatics Data Analyst is responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining critical business reports based on data from multiple sources. This role involves supporting the Care Connections team by extracting, validating, and analyzing data to monitor department initiatives. Additionally, the analyst will participate in planning, developing, and implementing upgrades for the Epic electronic medical record system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports to support decision-making
• Manage data load processes internally and externally
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues
• Use BI tools to support strategic initiatives
• Ensure data integrity and seamless Epic integration
• Perform ad hoc analyses for inquiries and anomaly resolution
• Integrate external data sources and automate extraction processes
• Provide comprehensive data analysis to support decision makers
• Maintain code using Azure DevOps for version control
• Meet departmental and individual performance goals
• Document responsibilities and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency in SQL
• Experience with SSRS and Power BI
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools like SSIS or Azure Data Factory
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to identify data gaps and review reports/processes
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Curiosity, creativity, and willingness to learn new tools
• Excellent time management for multiple projects
• Familiarity with version control like TFS or Azure DevOps
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
