Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Victoria North in Victoria, TX. We are hiring a PRN Pharmacist to dispense medications, verify orders, educate patients and supervise Pharmacy Technicians during facility hours.

The hospital opens Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. The role focuses on compliant, efficient operations within a hospital system pharmacy outsourced to Cardinal Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Texas in good standing.
• IV certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Hospital/inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders using the pharmacy information system and adjust doses per protocol.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure compliant, efficient operations.
• Ensure accuracy and safety of medication dispensing and perform audits for compliance.
• Educate patients on medication use, interactions and discharge instructions.
• Manage narcotics control, inventory and accreditation-related tasks.
