Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Victoria North in Victoria, TX. We are hiring a PRN Pharmacist II to dispense medications, verify orders, supervise technicians, and ensure accreditation and compliance during facility hours.

The role requires TX licensure, pharmacy degree, IV certification, and hospital experience. Expect patient education, protocol-based dosing, and collaboration with nursing and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Texas license in good standing required.
• IV certification or ability to obtain IV certification.
• In-patient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to hear, write and speak clearly to communicate with healthcare teams.
• Manual dexterity and physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders using the pharmacy information system.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure compliant operations.
• Adjust dosages per established protocols and support antimicrobial stewardship.
• Educate patients on medication use and discharge instructions.
• Manage narcotics control, inventories, and compliance tasks.
• Coordinate with Nurses and Physicians to verify orders and obtain information.
