Job summary

Valley Health System in Wayne, NJ is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy outpatient clinic. Under supervision, you will perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs, and basic tests, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance.

You will handle front desk duties, coordinate with staff, schedule appointments, respond to inquiries, and help ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program; certification required.
• Experience in a clinic or outpatient setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and tests as ordered by the physician.
• Handle front desk duties: greet, register, verify insurance and collect payments.
• Maintain daily patient schedule and answer calls to schedule appointments or handle inquiries.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure proper patient flow and workflow.
