Job summary

Valley Health System in Wayne, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to support clinical and front desk operations. Under clinician supervision, you will perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs, and related tests, while documenting thoroughly in the EMR system.

Applicants should hold a High School diploma or equivalent with formal Medical Assistant training and certification. Six months of clinic or office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certification as CMA or RMA required.
• Six months of prior clinic/office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and tests as directed by physician.
• Accurately document in an EMR system per licensure and policy.
• Handle front desk duties: greet, register, verify insurance and collect payments.
• Maintain daily patient schedule and route calls for appointments or refills.
