Job summary

BD in Warwick, RI is seeking a field sales professional to drive market growth for our surgical products. You will manage territory accounts, educate clinicians, provide on-site support during procedures, and train hospital staff on product use.

The role requires travel, strong communication, and the ability to develop new prospects while meeting revenue goals. A Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years medical sales experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years general sales experience, medical sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills.
• Detailed understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales.
• Understands the product buyer concept and contract administration.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license and meet auto safety standards.
• Must be able to travel at least 60%, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Attain sales goals within the designated territory and budget.
• Grow sales of current accounts and establish new accounts.
• Position self as a product specialist; present, educate, and provide in-services to surgeons, OR staff, and others.
• Provide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure accurate use of products.
• Train physicians and hospital staff on the use of products and ensure current product information is available.
• Maintain knowledge of products, channels, and distribution; advise customers on pricing and policy changes.
• Meet territory sales and profitability goals and develop new prospects and customers.
• Attend meetings and tradeshows; provide post-convention reports.
