Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is expanding with a new state-of-the-art Clinical Engineering Technician II role on our Main Campus. You will install, maintain and repair essential medical instruments across a large, multi-site facility, supporting spine, epilepsy, movement disorders and stroke care.

The position runs 6:00am–2:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays and may require on-call after 90 days. Strong engineering background and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering and two years of Cleveland Clinic Clinical Engineering Technician I experience
• OR four years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting medical equipment or equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field
• OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of CC experience or six years of outside experience OR equivalent specialized or military training
• OR Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical or Electronic Engineering or Information Technology

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and as needed clinical engineering services (repair, maintenance, relocation, installation, etc.) for equipment.
• Maintain documentation of equipment, inventory, service and repairs.
• Collaborate with information technology caregivers to integrate medical equipment systems with information systems applications.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
