Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is expanding with a new Neuro Expansion at its Main Campus in Cleveland. The Clinical Engineer I will organize and maintain technical operations, evaluate outside services, and manage supplies for biomedical equipment critical to neurological care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or IT technical field or equivalent military/medical equipment experience.
• Technical expertise on assigned equipment and ability to work independently in technical/administrative capacity.
• Knowledge of complex electronic, pneumatic, or mechanical systems related to the medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support, preventive maintenance, evaluation of equipment and instrumentation for Cleveland Clinic.
• Maintain equipment documentation, inventory, maintenance agreements, service logs, and CMMS records.
• Perform incoming inspections of new equipment and document CMMS data.
• Create or modify systems and components to support clinical operations.
• Provide cross-training to fellow technicians on devices.
• Lead projects and initiatives within the work group.
