Job summary

The Clinical Equipment Tech at Northeast Georgia Health System ensures mobile clinical equipment is clean, functional, available, and distributed across patient care areas. You will perform rounds, equipment cleaning and disinfection, inventory checks, and support clinical staff with equipment questions.

You will partner with nursing, clinical leaders, and Biomedical Services to maintain readiness, address equipment concerns, and help meet par levels while following infection prevention

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical training in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, healthcare technology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds to distribute, retrieve, clean, disinfect, stock, and inspect fleet medical equipment.
• Maintain proper par levels and elevate shortages as needed.
• Follow infection prevention, cleaning, disinfection, and safety protocols per OEM and NGHS standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and elevate equipment issues, including damaged, malfunctioning, or missing equipment.
• Utilize equipment tracking systems and CMMS to document equipment movement, inventory status, maintenance needs, service requests, and inventory activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, clinical leaders, Biomedical Services, and other departments to resolve equipment-related issues.
