Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Clinical Equipment Technician to support patient care by keeping mobile clinical equipment clean, functional, and available across units. The role involves rounds, cleaning and disinfection, inventory checks, basic troubleshooting, documentation, and staff support.

The position partners with nursing, clinical leaders and Biomedical Services to maintain equipment readiness and address shortages while ensuring safety and infection prevention standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred Associate degree or technical training in biomedical equipment technology or related field.
• Experience in healthcare equipment handling, cleaning, distribution, or troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds to distribute, retrieve, clean, disinfect, stock, and inspect equipment.
• Maintain proper par levels and address shortages as needed.
• Follow infection prevention, cleaning, disinfection, and safety protocols.
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness, function, and readiness for use.
• Troubleshoot and elevate issues with damaged or missing equipment.
• Document movements and maintenance using CMMS and tracking systems.
• Assist staff with equipment handling questions and guidance.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Biomedical Services, and other departments to resolve issues.
