Job Summary: Senior individual contributor who develops and manages the enterprise scoring criteria for clinical-equipment supportability, end-of-life, utilization, cybersecurity, clinical efficacy, and reliability, and advises CE leadership on equipment strategy. Partners with Enterprise, Service Line, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and Construction teams to develop multi-year forecasts and plans for replacement, support, optimization, and disposition of medical-equipment assets across an assigned portfolio. Individual engineers additionally serve as the designated enterprise lead for an assigned CE program area, such as CMMS administration, recall management, or medical-device cybersecurity.

What you will do
  • Develop and manage scoring criteria for medical-equipment forecasting and planning within an assigned portfolio (supportability, age, utilization, cybersecurity, efficacy, reliability) — the primary inputs to the five-year capital replacement plan owned by the Manager, Capital & Equipment Planning and the capital investment decisions it drives.
  • Continuously review and validate projects and plans; investigate opportunities for cost reduction, improved safety and cybersecurity, and operational optimization.
  • Lead clinical-equipment onboarding projects to ensure new assets are deployed efficiently with safety and support addressed.
  • Serve as the designated enterprise lead for an assigned CE program area, such as CMMS administration (configuration, user accounts and permissions, PM procedure and schedule libraries, nomenclature standards, and upgrade/vendor coordination, partnering with the Data Analyst on data integrity), recall management, or medical-device cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with CE Operations, Business Office, Supply Chain, and IT teammates to ensure CE strategies are aligned across functions.
  • Partner with IT project managers to orchestrate CE operational resources to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Represent the CE Strategy team in local, regional, and enterprise strategy sessions.
  • Lead inventory, forecast, and scoring reviews with organizational stakeholders to share insights and gain alignment.
  • Continuously build expertise within the assigned medical-equipment portfolio through research, education, and networking with technology professionals.
What you will need
  • Education: Associate's degree in biomedical engineering or equivalent experience and training.
  • Experience: 3 years in a CE-related field, plus 1-2 years in project-management support, leadership, data analysis, or IT collaboration.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Knowledge: Subject-matter expertise across multiple areas of clinical-equipment technology; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with expertise in spreadsheets and databases; depending on program-area assignment, working knowledge of CMMS administration (configuration, user management, PM libraries), recall management, or medical-device cybersecurity.
  • Skills: Excellent project management; interpreting highly technical analysis in non-technical terms for management reporting; communicating and partnering with internal and vendor leadership at all levels.
  • Abilities: Able to multi-task in a dynamic, complex, highly-visible environment with competing interests; able to own a large portfolio of strategic projects and drive savings; demonstrated leadership to coordinate, mentor, and coach CE Operations staff.
