Job summary

St Luke's Wood River is seeking a dynamic RN Clinical Educator to support Surgical Services, including the Operating Room (OR), Pre-Op, PACU, and Endoscopy. This part-time role focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating education programs that promote clinical excellence and regulatory compliance, onboarding, and ongoing staff development across the perioperative continuum.

The Educator will work with RNs, CNAs, and Surgical Technologists to validate competencies and deliver formal

• Bachelor's degree in nursing with RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Or an Associate's degree in nursing with 2+ years Surgical Services experience and RN licensing.
• Strong experience in perioperative education, onboarding, and competency assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate perioperative education programs.
• Support onboarding and competency validation for OR, PACU, Pre-Op, Endoscopy teams.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure regulatory compliance and ongoing staff development.

Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Educator to support Surgical Services, including the Operating Room (OR), Pre-Op, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU),andEndoscopy (Endo), as well as team members such as RNs, CNAs, and Surgical Technologists. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating education programs that promote clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and professional development. The Clinical Educator plays a key role in onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development across the perioperative continuum. Position start date target is September 2026 Qualifications:

• Education:Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Experience: 4 years related experience, strongly preferSurgicalServices background
• Licenses/Certifications: RN Licensure in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

• Education:Associate's degree in nursing
• 2+ years related experience, strongly preferSurgicalServices background
• Licenses/Certifications: RN Licensure in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

This is a part time position, but can be combined with an Surgical Services RN position if full time is desired.
