Job summary

St Luke’s Wood River is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Educator to support Surgical Services, including OR, Pre-Op, PACU, and Endoscopy. The role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating education programs to promote clinical excellence, onboarding, and ongoing staff development across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • RN licensure in the state of practice and current BLS certification.
  • 4 years related experience, preferably in Surgical Services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Educator to support Surgical Services, including the Operating Room (OR), Pre-Op, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU),andEndoscopy (Endo), as well as team members such as RNs, CNAs, and Surgical Technologists.

This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating education programs that promote clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and professional development. The Clinical Educator plays a key role in onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing staff development across the perioperative continuum.

Position start date target is September 2026

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Experience: 4 years related experience, strongly preferSurgicalServices background
  • Licenses/Certifications: RN Licensure in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

  • Education:Associate's degree in nursing
  • 2+ years related experience, strongly preferSurgicalServices background
  • Licenses/Certifications: RN Licensure in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.

This is a part time position, but can be combined with an Surgical Services RN position if full time is desired.
