Bay Area Hospital is seeking a Nurse Residency & Competency Clinical Educator to lead education and professional development across the hospital. You will centralize HealthStream, nurse residency, and CPR/BLS education, collaborating with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support evidence-based practice and patient safety.

You will coordinate curricula, track outcomes, and enable ongoing learning while aligning with regulatory standards and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Must hold current RN license to practice.
AHA BLS certification required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
CNE certification preferred.
CPR/BLS Instructor certification preferred.

Responsabilités

Serve as administrator for HealthStream; create and manage education plans and competency activities.
Coordinate annual mandatory education with leadership and HR to assign education.
Monitor education completion and maintain learning records with reports and dashboards.
Develop nurse residency curriculum, schedules, sessions, and clinical experiences.
Mentor nurse residents and collaborate with managers, preceptors, and educators.
Maintain residency participation, competency and evaluation records; assess program effectiveness.
Create competency checklists and assessments; coordinate validation through observation and simulations.
Develop and maintain nursing and clinical competency programs with department leaders and SMEs.
Coordinate CPR/BLS education and certification; engage with training organizations.
Provide CPR/BLS instruction and maintain certification records.
