Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services invites applications for a Clinical Education Training Center Instructor to develop, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs. You will lead BLS, ACLS, PALS and other safety trainings, using simulation and ARC standards to improve staff performance and patient care.

You will mentor instructors, contribute to curriculum updates, and maintain precise records while enjoying comprehensive educational benefits and a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
  • American Red Cross Instructor certifications in BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
  • Experience with teaching or clinical instruction and adult learning.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs and facilitates BLS, ACLS, PALS and other ARC programs.
  • Sets up, operates, and cleans simulation equipment and materials.
  • Evaluates participant performance and provides constructive feedback.
  • Maintains ARC compliance, course monitoring, and records.
  • Contributes to curriculum updates and best practices.
  • Leads simulation sessions and debriefings; mentors new instructors.

This role is responsible for facilitating engaging learning experiences that enhance clinical excellence, support professional growth, and contribute to exceptional patient care throughout the organization.The ideal candidate is passionate about education, skilled in adult learning principles, and committed to creating a collaborative learning environment for clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals.This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and other life safety or clinical training programs as designated by the Training Center.
