Job summary
MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville, Maine seeks an experienced Manager of Training & Development to lead clinical, clerical, and medical education, staff development, and departmental operations. You will align education resources with patient care standards and organizational goals.
You will collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to identify development needs, design targeted learning opportunities, and drive staff performance and engagement across teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education preferred.
- Current RN license in Maine preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Leadership or Nursing required.
- Progressive experience in clinical, clerical, medical education or professional development.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and healthcare operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for clinical and clerical education and staff development.
- Develop and implement training strategies addressing competency gaps.
- Partner with leaders to assess development needs and opportunities.
- Lead continuing education programs and learning activities.
- Oversee department operations, services, and supporting technology systems.
- Coach and develop team members and manage performance expectations.
