Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Professional Development Practitioner RN to support education, development, and competency across outpatient practices. You will orient, educate, train, and assess staff while collaborating with outpatient leaders and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care that meets regulatory standards.

The role focuses on orientation, ongoing education, skills training, and professional development for RNs, PSRs, and Medical Assistants in our Thayer Center

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine.
• Experience in outpatient/ambulatory care preferred.
• Educational or staff development experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Experience with staff education, competency assessment, or skills training preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the inter-disciplinary team to assess learning needs and staff competencies.
• Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies and policies.
• Creates a supportive environment for nursing research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
• Participates in development and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
• Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
