Job summary

Scotland Memorial Hospital – Food and Nutrition is seeking a part-time RN educator. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating staff education programs to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include mentoring, competency assessment, and maintaining training documentation within a supportive, collaborative environment. The position requires ADN, NC RN licensure, and credentials for ACLS/PALS and CPR instruction within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• ADN required, RN license in NC or multi-state.
• BSN/MSN preferred.
• ACLS and PALS instructor within 6 months of hire; CPR instructor.
• Five years in critical care; preceptor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers high-quality educational programs for staff at all career stages.
• Applies adult learning principles, evidence-based interventions, and regulatory standards.
• Maintains and updates curricula; documents training activities and outcomes.
