Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking an RN Education Specialist to coordinate orientation plans for unit-based healthcare providers and to tailor programs to experience levels. You will spearhead teaching initiatives, develop materials, and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MS or MSN from an accredited program.
• RN license in good standing.
• At least one year of critical care experience preferred.
• Three years as RN in an acute care facility.
• Some teaching experience is required.
• IBCLC certification within one year if on Mother/Baby unit.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• ATCN or TNCC certification within 1 year if assigned to ICU/CCU etc.
• NRP and PALS within required timeframes depending on unit.
• ACLS within 6 months for applicable units.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of orientation plans for unit-based healthcare providers.
• Individualize orientation plans based on learners' experience.
• Assist manager to update and monitor orientation processes and progress.
• Demonstrate effective teaching skills and diverse instructional methods.
• Plan and present programs to meet learning needs of providers, patients, and community.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in educational activities.
• Develop education materials and keep documentation accurate.
• Promote evidence-based practice and professional development.
