Responsibilities

• Performs competency management including needs assessment, gap analysis and monitoring of compliance.
• Develops and disseminates foundational educational content and programs using various learning methods.
• Applies Nursing Professional Development (NPD) standards into practice.
• Collaborates with learners and stakeholders using effective communication.
• Demonstrates awareness of EBPs, research and quality initiatives.
• Coaches and provides feedback to preceptors and orientees and assesses orientation progress.
• Monitors environments for opportunities and challenges affecting professional practice gaps.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors within budgetary specifications.
• Supports department-based goals and professional growth through mandatory/continuing education.
