Job summary

Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Education Coordinator (RN) to lead organization-wide nursing education. You will design and deliver educational programs, maintain competency, and stay current with standards of practice affecting acute care and facility-wide settings.

The role emphasizes supervision of orientation, collaboration with clinical teams, and ongoing staff development to support exceptional patient care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Prior experience as a nurse educator preferred
• Minimum five (5) years nursing experience with clinical focus preferred

How you'll contribute

The Education Coordinator is the organization-wide educator. By maintaining competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in requirements for acute care hospital and all applicable facility-wide healthcare settings, the Education Coordinator designs, develops, plans, and teaches educational programs for the employed, contracted, affiliated, volunteer individuals and others as identified. The educator has the authority and responsibility of supervision all orientation programs and has indirect supervisory responsibility for new employees when involved in educational programs or processes.

What we're looking for

• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate's degree from an accredited professional Registered Nursing Program
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Prior experience as a nurse educator preferred.
• Minimum Five (5) years nursing experience with clinical focus preferred.
