Job summary

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA is seeking an experienced Clinical Director II for Peri-Operative Services to lead nursing operations across peri-operative units and drive strategic oversight.

This senior nursing leadership role requires CA RN licensure, a BSN, 4+ years in acute care with peri-operative experience, and supervisory background; a Master’s degree and Lean Six Sigma are preferred.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)

seeks an experienced Clinical Director II for Peri-Operative Services*. This leadership role is responsible for managing the overall nursing operations and clinical services within the Peri-Operative units. The Clinical Director II will provide strategic direction and operational oversight by developing, planning, organizing, and evaluating systems, services, and staff through subordinate managers and supervisors. The position ensures adherence to county, state, and federal guidelines by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols while also recommending improvements to support best practices in patient care. The role is also responsible for maintaining excellence in nursing standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading the preparation of survey responses, corrective action plans, and ongoing survey readiness efforts. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.

Certifications: Must maintain necessary certifications and complete on-going educational units/certifications required for assigned areas of responsibility.

Candidates must possess all of the following, experience may be concurrent:

• LICENSE Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.
• EDUCATION A Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.
• EXPERIENCE Four (4) years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care hospital, with at least two (2) years of experience in a Peri-Operative Services unit, such as Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Same Day Surgery.
• SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE
  • OPTION 1 One (1) year of experience as a nurse manager.
  • OPTION 2 Two (2) years of experience as a full-scope supervisor over professional nursing staff.
• CERTIFICATION Must possess and maintain a current Healthcare Provider lever Basic Life Support (BLS).

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Peri-Operative Services Nurse Manager in a large acute care teaching hospital. Possession of a Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Experience with budget assessment, recommendation, and reconciliation, as well as proficiency in Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) and other process improvement methodologies, is also desired. Leadership certifications such as Lean Six Sigma and Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified (NEA-BC) are highly desirable.
