Job summary

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA is seeking an experienced nurse for the Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

The position is the first supervisory level in the nursing series and includes assigning and reviewing work, overseeing staffing, and supporting day-to-day clinical operations of the MICU. California RN licensure and ICU experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess RN license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with 6 months in Specialty Critical Care.
• Two or more years supervisory/charge nurse experience preferred.
• Pre-employment background, drug test and certifications required.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking experienced and dedicated nurses to fill the Assistant Unit Manager I - Specialty Critical Care position in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU).

This is the first supervisory level of the nursing series. This position is responsible for assigning and reviewing work, overseeing staffing, and assisting with the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.

Availability: Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.

Certifications: Additional certifications may be required depending on the needs of the department.

Candidates must possess ALL of the following:

License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse with six (6) months of experience in Specialty Critical Care unit (ICU, Emergency Department/Trauma, Labor & Delivery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Services, Operative Services, or Burn Center). Experience may be concurrent.

Certification: Must possess and maintain the following certifications:

• Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support(BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Basic Arrhythmia Class
• Critical Care Course OR Critical Care RN Certification

Supervisory/charge nurse experience and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is desired. Candidates with at least one (1) year of experience in a MedicalIntensive Care Unit are preferred.
