Job summary

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse II for the Postpartum Unit on the night shift. The RN II will exercise professional autonomy in a fast-paced teaching environment, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care according to standards and policies.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families about healthcare options.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time RN experience.
• BLS required; NRP preferred for Postpartum unit.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is hiring for a Registered Nurse II in the Postpartum Unit. Registered Nurse II's at ARMC practice at a high-level of professional autonomy in a fast-paced teaching environment. Typical duties include assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing patient care in accordance with accepted standards of practice and organizational policy, as well as administering medications and treatments, performing documentation, and educating patients and families on their healthcare options.

The current vacancy is for Night Shift. The resulting eligible list may be used to fill additional vacancies as they occur.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Conditions of Employment

Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.

License/Certifications: RN license, and Basic Life Support, and depending on the area of assignment, additional certification(s) may be required and must be maintained throughout employment.

Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Shift differentials are provided.

Candidate Requirements

License: Must possess and maintain Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

Experience: One (1) or more years of full-time experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Certification: Must possess and maintain current Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must possess and maintain the following unit specific certification required to work in the Postpartum Unit: Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification issued by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Candidates possessing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing are desired.
