Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join its healthcare team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and aim to improve nutritional status and quality of life aligned with patient goals.

Responsibilities include educating the care team and patients, adhering to professional standards, and collaborating with dining services to enhance nutrition programs.

Qualifications

• Passed the national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to establish procedures and policies for dining services and nutrition.
• Participate in development and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
