Elior North America, operating Cura-Hospitality, seeks a registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at John J Kane Regional Center in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, implement interventions, and collaborate to enhance residents’ quality of life as part of a patient-centered care team.

Responsibilities include educating staff and residents, adhering to standards, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the facility.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsabilités

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
