Job Description

The Clinical Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition care to patients, ensuring that their nutritional needs are met and all related documentation is complete and accurate. They plan and administer activities related to resident/patient nutrition care, adhering to standards established by Aramark Healthcare, regulatory agencies, and clients. The dietitian establishes and maintains effective multidisciplinary relationships to deliver a unified approach to patient/resident care.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain dietetic registration, government-required credentials, licensure, and continuing education requirements.
2. Conduct patient nutrition assessments within the scope of practice, including inpatient and outpatient (community/clinic-based) settings.
3. Manage the development and implementation of nutrition intervention plans following the Nutrition Care Process.
4. Perform rounding to enhance patient satisfaction.
5. Assess educational needs and identify barriers to learning.
6. Provide nutrition counseling to individuals and groups, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
7. Utilize assessment and evaluation techniques considering age-specific, cultural, religious, and ethnic factors.
8. Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives by patients and/or families.
9. Provide follow-up care aligned with treatment goals, referring patients for outpatient counseling, community, or home health services as needed.
10. Ensure operational performance by complying with Aramark Healthcare and regulatory standards, monitoring operations, and completing assessments and action plans for optimal nutrition care and meal service.
11. Collaborate with medical staff and food and nutrition services to ensure conformance to prescribed nutrition care orders.
12. Provide education on food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
13. Document the nutrition care plan accurately in the patient's medical record, including assessments, diagnoses, plans, and progress.
14. Maintain clinical productivity standards and keep accurate records of daily activities, including scheduling and billing information.
15. Accountably manage the proper use of patients’ protected health information.
