Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Cleveland VA Medical Center seeks a Full Time Dietitian (Clinical) to advance nutrition care using the Nutrition Care Process, develop evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

You will assess, diagnose, intervene, and monitor nutrition needs, provide patient education, utilize virtual care when appropriate, and help implement new initiatives while maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) certified by the CDR.
• ACEND accreditation requirements for foreign education if applicable.
• Experience with the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
• Ability to develop patient-centered goals and apply evidence-based nutrition practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and establish nutrition diagnoses.
• Develop and implement Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans; monitor and adjust as needed.
• Document care using the ADIME format in the medical record.
• Collaborate with Food Operations and clinical teams to improve patient care and dining experiences.
• Utilize virtual care technology to improve access to care; maintain productivity and records.
