Job summary
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Lebanon VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA seeks a Dietitian (Clinical) to provide autonomous, evidence-based nutrition care in the NFS Clinical Section, collaborating with medical teams and the Food Operations Section.
Responsibilities include comprehensive nutrition assessments using the Nutrition Care Process, developing and monitoring Medical Nutrition Therapy, and documenting in the medical record; telehealth and virtual care may be used to improve
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Nutrition Care Process and its application to patient care.
- Ability to apply evidence-based nutrition practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with health care teams including Food Operations.
- Familiarity with virtual care for nutrition services.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive nutrition assessments using the NCP.
- Develops and implements Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
- Monitors outcomes and modifies care plans as needed.
- Documents nutrition care in the medical record (ADIME).
- Utilizes virtual care technology to improve access to care.
- Collaborates with Food Operations and department leadership.
