Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join the healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to optimize nutritional status, and enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.

Responsibilities include providing nutritional expertise to the care team, educating staff and patients, and ensuring compliance with practice standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field (Nice-to-have).
• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care (Nice-to-have).

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
