Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve quality of life for patients/residents in line with goals.

Responsibilities include providing nutrition expertise, educating staff and patients, adhering to practice standards, and supporting quality improvement efforts. Licensure and ongoing CEU requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the program.
