The Clinical Dietitian I provides nutritional services in inpatient and/or outpatient settings as assigned. Responsibilities include preparing and implementing nutritional assessments and care plans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in accordance with departmental policies and standards of care. The role involves prioritizing high-risk patients, initiating medical nutrition therapy interventions as part of the patient's individual care plan, and incorporating current evidence-based research into practice. The Dietitian acts as a liaison between Nutritional Services and Medical, Nursing, and Ancillary Departments. Additional duties involve providing nutritional counseling to patients, families, and others as requested.
