Job summary

Western Home Communities in Iowa seeks a Clinical Development Coordinator (LPN/RN) to lead CNA classes, support CAPS classes, and provide Medication Manager instruction with hands-on training and competency support. You will assist with new nurse orientation and clinical onboarding to help new nurses grow confident in clinical expectations.

Onboard and coach direct care staff, plan learning activities, assess progress, and maintain accurate education documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state board-approved RN or LPN program.
• Current Iowa RN or LPN license.
• LPN Supervisory Course required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead CNA classes and support CAPS classes with classroom and clinical instruction.
• Provide clinical instruction for Medication Manager training (RN applicants only).
• Assist with new nurse orientation and clinical onboarding.
• Onboard, train and mentor direct care staff for CNA, DCP and other career pathways.
• Plan and facilitate learning activities using appropriate instructional methods.
• Assess student and employee progress and provide timely feedback.

Job description

The Western Home Learn and Earn team is seeking a Clinical Development Coordinator (LPN/RN) who is passionate about helping others grow in their careers and achieve their educational goals. In this role, you’ll support employees at various stages of their clinical development, including serving as a CNA Class instructor and secondary instructor for CAPS CNA classes, providing clinical instruction for Medication Manager training, and assisting with new nurse orientation and clinical onboarding.
