* Effectively communicates resident needs with physicians and immediate supervisor* Completes resident assessments as required; supervises LPN in data gathering of information* Maintains awareness of the condition of all residents under their care* Accurately administers all medications, treatments, and physician orders; taking ultimate responsibility for resident care* Confers with the Director of Nursing on an ongoing basis with special problems of care, resident transfers, management of workload, etc.* Coordinates preparation and planning of resident admission; giving proper recognition to the real and potential contribution of family and others in planning nursing care* Provides for emotional and physical comfort and safety of residents, and emotional support to families* Supervises, assists, consults with and teaches certified nursing assistants*If you, or someone you know, would be a good fit for this opportunity within Western Home Communities- we would love to talk!*Western Home Communities is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC).
