Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a CDSO Data Strategy Lead to own data-related study start-up activities from protocol development through system go-live. You will lead cross-functional teams to embed data strategies, standards, and technologies into clinical plans, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

The role requires strong project management, risk oversight, and coaching abilities, with hybrid onsite work and a focus on innovation within the CDSO domain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired.
• 6+ years pharma/clinical research/data management experience or 8+ years project management experience.
• Experience leading clinical trial data strategy and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serves as CDSO study start-up SME; owns all data-related start-up deliverables from protocol to go-live.
• Leads data management study start-up end-to-end; collaborates to enable on-time study start.
• Ensures consistency in data strategy, CRFs, and surveillance approaches across studies.
• Translates complex data and tech concepts into clear guidance for study teams.
• Drives critical-to-quality factors and data criticality assessments in downstream systems.
• Influences without direct authority to drive aligned outcomes for AbbVie.
• Leads CDSO innovation and process-improvement initiatives; coaches team members.
