Job summary

AbbVie's CDSO Data Strategy Lead role is a hybrid position focused on owning data-related study start-up deliverables from protocol development through system go-live. You will drive cross-functional collaboration to embed data strategies, standards, and technologies into clinical plans, translating complex data and technology concepts into clear, decision-ready guidance for study teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• 6+ years pharma/clinical research/data management or 8+ years PM experience.
• Understanding of clinical trial processes and clinical technology; lead role preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the CDSO study start-up SME and single point of contact for assigned studies.
• Leads data management study start-up end-to-end and enables on-time study start.
• Ensures consistency in data strategy, CRFs, and surveillance across studies.
• Drives data quality factors and data criticality into downstream systems.
• Ensures adherence to GCPs, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Influences without direct authority to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Leads CDSO innovation and cross-functional initiatives.
• Coaches and mentors team members.
