Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks a Clinical Customer Service Representative for the Ortho Trauma Surgery unit in Baltimore. This full-time evening-shift role (40 hours) is the central point of contact for patients, families, visitors and the care team, delivering professional, friendly, efficient service daily.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months in healthcare or an office setting, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic presentation/spreadsheet software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months in healthcare or office setting.
• Substantial interpersonal skills are needed to interact with patients, families and medical staff.
• Ability to initiate and build positive relationships following Johns Hopkins Customer Service standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, proficiency with presentation and spreadsheet software preferred.
• Ability to learn and incorporate a variety of clinical and administrative automated systems and software into daily work duties.

The Clinical Customer Service Representative works as the central point of contact on the care unit for patients, families, visitors and members of the health care team. This is a fast-paced position that requires professional, friendly and efficient performance of the daily duties. The ideal candidate will possess the highest level of Customer Service skills, knowledge of information & computer systems, the ability to work and assist with Nursing staff & Administrative staff, all in the effort to meet the needs of the unit, department in accordance to Johns Hopkins Hospital policy and procedures.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.99/hour - Maximum 20.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
