Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago’s Hyde Park area seeks a Medical Technologist to support the Clinical Chemistry Laboratory. You will perform a broad range of analyses using diverse methods and instrumentation, adhering to CLIA, safety, and quality policies to deliver accurate results.

This 100% onsite role requires a Bachelor's in clinical laboratory science, ASCP MT certification or equivalent, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Must satisfy CLIA ’88 qualification requirements for testing personnel performing high complexity testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science from an accredited college or university.
• ASCP MT certification or eligible, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Receives specimens and determines proper processing for analysis.
• Performs moderate to high complexity testing per CLIA and lab procedures.
• Maintains equipment, reagents, and quality controls as required.
• Reports results in the LIS within turnaround time goals and communicates issues.
