Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum six months of supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• C.N.A. or Personal Care Aide (80-Hour) with required training within 6 months.
• 15-Hour Medication Aide Certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Medication Aide Check off within 30 days of hire.
• Medication Aide Certification within 60 days of check-off.
• No substantiated findings on NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
• Two-step tuberculin skin test completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ED/Administrator in management duties and supervise staff.
• Follow policies for administering medications to residents and report errors.
• Develop procedures to prevent medication errors and participate in QA programs.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports; participate in facility inspections.
• Attend Care Plan meetings and ongoing staff education.
• Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living as per Care Plans.
• Maintain resident dignity, safety, and confidentiality; respond to call lights and alarms.
• Coordinate coverage for call-ins and orientation of new residents and staff.
