Brookdale Senior Living in Eden, NC is seeking a care services supervisor to provide direct supervision of care staff, coordinate ongoing training, and ensure resident safety and quality of care. The role supports medication management, family communications, and participation in care plan reviews.

The position emphasizes maintaining a homelike environment, adherence to Brookdale policies, and active involvement in safety and infection-control tasks within the community.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of resident care staff, including monitoring performance and coaching as needed.
• Coordinates training and education of resident care staff on an ongoing basis.
• Verifies hours on time cards and weekly hours reports; manages staffing to meet resident needs and budget.
• Observes residents health status; addresses concerns within scope of practice and reports changes promptly.
• Assists in medication management and ensures proper storage and records as per Brookdale policies.
• May administer medications within scope of practice and reviews residents who self-administer.
• Monitors medication administration; conducts audits of MAR and ensures compliance.
• Communicates with families about residents' needs and scheduling of appointments.
• Contributes to service plan reviews with care team members and resident families.
• Maintains resident charts and supports quality improvement activities.
• Performs safety and infection-control checks and supports health and safety initiatives.
• Participates in community events and on-call duties as required.
