Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient clinic in Bloomington, IN. This contract position offers full-time hours with on-site work and a pay rate of $58.80 per hour.

The role requires a BSN, an active RN license in Indiana, and 1+ year of healthcare experience, with training and 6-week scheduling blocks. Initially, 3 weeks of training are required; after which schedules are set in 6-week blocks, including weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• BSN required.Evidence of active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare experience; Primary Care/ Urgent Care or ER preferred.
• Current BLS certification with expiration date beyond 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
• Perform routine and advanced patient assessments.
• Monitor and document vital signs (BP, HR, RR, temperature).
• Evaluate patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Review medications and identify potential interactions or adverse effects.
• Conduct mental health assessments and mood screenings.
• Document medical histories, medications, allergies, illnesses, surgeries in EMR.
• Educate patients on medication administration, self-care, and disease management.
• Connect patients with appropriate healthcare resources and services.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked clinic environment.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION

full-time hours (40+ per week)

Location: Bloomington, IN 47401 – 100% on-site

Payrate: $58.80/hr

Required Availability: Part-Time | typically 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend

Schedule & Training: Initial 3 weeks of training/orientation are required. After training, schedules are created in 6-week blocks. Shifts may range from approximately 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours. Typical schedule includes 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend. Some major holiday coverage is required. Must be available to complete the full initial training period without conflicting planned time off.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Clinic will provide high-quality, evidence-based, patient-facing care in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, perform clinical testing, document patient information, and provide education and support to promote positive health outcomes. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluate patient conditions and monitor responses to treatment.
• Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions.
• Perform mental health assessments, including depression and mood screenings.
• Accurately document medical histories, medications, allergies, illnesses, surgeries, and family history in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients regarding medication administration, self-care, and disease management.
• Connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic environment.

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – OUTPATIENT CLINIC | REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Current, active RN license in the state of practice and in good standing.
• At least 1+ year of related healthcare experience.
• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings required.
• Experience with: Phlebotomy, Vaccine administration, Point-of-care testing- required
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification with an expiration date at least 30 days beyond the anticipated start date.
