As a Clinical Wound Care Representative, you will independently manage an assigned territory and build strong working relationships with long‑term care facilities and their clinical teams.
Responsibilities include:
Round with facility wound care teams in a hands‑off educational and support role
Educate clinicians on advanced wound care products, appropriate product selection, application, and utilization
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for facility staff regarding wound care products and Medicare Part B coverage guidelines
Learn to understand and apply Medicare documentation requirements and reimbursement guidelines through Curitec's training program
Educate facility teams regarding documentation requirements associated with Medicare Part B wound care products
Support facility wound care programs through education, product knowledge, organization, tracking, and consistent follow‑up
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with wound care nurses, Directors of Nursing, administrators, practitioners, and other facility leadership
Enter and manage wound care product orders through Curitec's systems
Ensure required documentation and follow‑up are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Identify opportunities to strengthen facility partnerships and support growth within the territory
Participate in sales and marketing efforts to develop and maintain business
Independently manage your territory, facility schedule, follow‑up responsibilities, and priorities
This role requires more than strong clinical skills. Successful Clinical Wound Care Representatives are self‑motivated, business‑minded, highly organized, comfortable with technology, and excellent relationship builders.
Candidates should have:
Current and active RN, LPN/LVN, PT, or PTA license
Minimum of 2 years of recent hands‑on wound care experience
Wound care certification strongly preferred
Strong wound care product and dressing knowledge
Exemplary customer service and communication skills
A business‑savvy and sales‑minded approach
Ability to build relationships with both clinical staff and facility leadership
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong follow‑through with documentation and administrative responsibilities
Comfort learning and working within multiple technology platforms
Motivation, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
This is a field‑based position with significant daily travel. Candidates should live within or near the New Orleans territory and be comfortable traveling regularly to long‑term care facilities throughout the assigned area.
The position may include:
Daily travel throughout the assigned territory
Driving distances of up to approximately three hours depending on facility needs
Early‑morning facility visits
Occasional overnight travel
Extended periods of standing and walking while rounding with facility wound care teams
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to meet the travel requirements of the position are required.
